I’ve always felt that Richard Harris was the better Dumbledore. He was always calm, serene, and composed. He rarely showed intense emotions so when he did it was scary to see. Michael Gambon was a decent Dumbledore but he was far too angry and let out his emotions way too easily. People say that Michael Gambon was good for the ending of the series because the series became darker and more violent so an angrier Dumbledore was better but if they read the books they would’ve seen that even at the end Dumbledore was never an angry man.
